Unmounted Rubber Stamps

I wonder if there is anyone out there that could help me please. I recently bought some Cushioning mount for my Rubber Stamps (I won't mention names), I then went ahead and mounted some of my Sugar Nellie stamps onto this cushioning. The only problem is, is that the cushion is a lot thinner than the one I normally use. I just don't like the way my stamps are stamping and want to remove the cushioning and mount them onto the other one. Does anyone know how to get the cushioning off the stamps? When I try to pull it off it breaks and I really want to do it without damaging my stamps. Any suggestions? Please :o)

Have you tried soaking them in hot soapy water (not nearly boiling!)? Might soften the glue?

Put another layer or two of the cushioning on?

Not sure other than that.

Soapy water would be my suggestion too, but you don't have to remove it, instead use a foam sheet under your stamping card for cushioning and stamp as normal, it works for me. I've got the See D's foam mat. Hope this helps.

Did you try warming them in the microwave for a few seconds? Maybe start with ten seconds and see how warm it gets. I unmounted all of my wood mounted stamps several years ago and the rubber came right off the cushion that way.

I had to remount some stamps once and it's a nightmare.
But... put the stamps in the deepfrezzer for about 30 minutes OR hold them under hot water for a while OR put them in the microwave sor some seconds then it's easier... put nor easy... Good luck!

Microwave it for 5 seconds at a time, you want to get it to the point where the adhesive is warm enough so you can peel it from your stamps. Don't microwave for more then 5 seconds at time, just do the 5 secs until the you can easily remove the stamps from the foam.

I was gonna say microwave too, only coz i know people are removing their wood from all their stamps and thats how they doing it! might be worth a try? if it works tho, let us know yeh? I know when ive been trying to position them sometimes, panic when a bit sticks before ive had chance to position them! it is incredibly sticky stuff!
good luck!

Put them in the microwave for a few seconds. The adhesive gets sticky again and the cushion comes right off.

Works for me every time!

Goo-Gone can then be used to remove any remaining adhesive very easily.
