CPS #39

Here's my take on this week's CPS Sketch. I did it slightly different by adding the word Christmas instead of an embellishment.

This Penny Black Stamp set is just so cute, I coloured it using Twinkling H2O's and some Diamond Stickles. I did the word CHristmas using a Red Sakura Stardust pen and then going over it with the Diamond Stickles Glitter Glue. The red underneath gives it a lovely gold shimmer.

DCM - Golden Highlights

Here's one that's actually on Time, I'm not a Gold Person myself unless I'm wearing it! I really enjoyed this one. Keryn set the Dare and this is what she had to say:
Going back over my cards I seem to have a liking for gold as an accent colour. So this week I'd like you to make a card for any season or occasion but must include gold somewhere. It could be a brad, metallic card, heat embossing, ribbon, anything at all as long as it's gold.

Well here's my attempt, I used Pink Petticoat backing paper from the Doodle-Icious Christmas Rainbow set, I coloured the white lines of the backing paper with a Gold Sakura Gelly Roll Pen. The images are from the "O Christmas Tree" set, and again I used Sakura Gelly Roll Pens to colour.

DCM - Santa's Little Extra Helper #3

Snowmen and Snowflakes
Another late post, but there you are this is going to be the story of my life until the "Training Rollout" is finished, got a heavy schedule and lots of time away from home for the next couple of month's.
'

The backing paper is from Daisie Company, Victoria Hutto's Holiday Patterns Paper Kit, I think this paper and the colours are just fab, I love it! I've "Stickled" some of the snowflakes using the Diamond Stickles Glitter Glue. That Stamp again!, this time I used Sakura Gel Pens only.

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Snowy Days!

Another Late one! And another Stamp I got at the NEC on Sunday. I think your going to be seeing a lot of this one, I think it is so fab. This weeks challenge is Snow! Snowy scenes, snowmen, snowflakes etc etc. Come on everyone! Let it snow!!
'

Again I used scraps from my box, this time I used Daisie Company, Victoria Hutto's Holiday Patterns Paper Kit, and that fab stamp which I embossed using Kaleidescope Embossing Powerd on Smoke Blue Versa Color Ink and then coloured with Sakura Gel Pens.

Sketch This: Cards: 32

It's amazing how quickly you get used to using the PC for crafting. My Magenta cartridge ran out last week and my printer won't print until it's replaced, so I've had to use what was available. Normally I go straight to the PC and decide which papers to use and then print them, then I wonder why I have so much scrap paper. I think I'm going to make December and possibly January my "Get rid of the Scraps" Month/s.

I used some scrap paper and the border is from a goody bag I got on Sunday at the NEC, the Daisy Stamp is from The Stamp Man's Double Delights Unmounted Stamps.

Sketch This: Cards: 31

This one is really late, but I did the card earlier in the week and thought it such a shame not to post it.

It was such a simple card to make, I used a piece of Backing paper from a Magazine Freebie, a piece of Ribbon and Punched out 4 Christmas Tree's from Pink Petticoat's "O Christmas Tree" Image stamps after painting them with Twinkling H2O's.

CPS #38

I'm really late with this one I know, but I'm trying desparetly to catch up. Made it on Tuesday but it was too dark to take a picture, then I couldn't find my memory stick for the camera. Any way here it is better late than never.....

Pink Petticoat Doodle-Icious Christmas Rainbow paper for the background and a Penny Black Stamp. I've been after this set of stamps for ages and manged to get them at the NEC on Sunday.

Di Hickman Card Sketch - October #5

Here is the last October Sketch for Di Hickman. You know how it takes ages to decide on your design, then make it, take photo's, crop and resize, then finally load them to your post. And once that's all done, you realise you should have done it differently......
'

I used the same Daisie Company papers, Victoria Hutto's Holiday Patterns Paper Kit, and card from Paper Mania's Colossal Colour Card Pack.

And CUT!

On Daring Card Makers Challenge this week its Tracie setting the dare and it is to make a card and CUT!
Any theme goes, so for those of you needing a break from Christmas crafting this is the perfect opportunity to have a change. All styles are welcome but there MUST be an element of handcutting somewhere. It could be a greeting, a shape, letters printed on your pc and handcut, anything goes as long as you did it by hand.
'
I obviously decided not to take the break and created a Christmas Card. The Letters and Bauble were cut by Hand, all other cutting was done using my guilotine.
'

I have again used Daisie Company for my papers. This time I used Victoria Hutto's Holiday Patterns Paper Kit. I used one of the Papers from the kit to create the Letters in my Graphics Program. I used another Paper to create the Bauble using Donna Glenn's 5 Ornament Tag Template.
