Julie's Jems Team Challenge 2

It was my turn to send out the Kit this week and it was SO hard to decide what to send. The really hard part is finding enough of everything, there are 8 of us and the next one is for 9 as we have a new team member. Go and have a look at what Steph, Sarah-Jane, Julie, Sarah, Anne, Sarah, and Siobahn have created.

I do love this Image, but it's not exactly your everyday kind of stamp. Well at least I've got some worth out of it.

Supplies Used:
1. Papers - SU! So Saffron and Chocolate Chip Patterns Designer Paper

2. Card - SU! Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red and More Mustard Textured Card
3. Image - Image by Design "Bee's"
4. Sentiment - SU! Oval All
5. Ribbon - SU! Chocolate Chip and More Mustard 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon
6. Brads - SU! Earth Elements and from Stash

SU! Sheffield Field Training

On Monday night we attended Stampin' Up! Field Training. It was really good to get around a table with my SU! Mum Julie and SU! Sisters Sarah and Elaine and other SU Demonstrators. We had great fun, did some make and takes and a swap. Now I've not done a swap like this before, so wasn't quite sure what to expect or do. I did feel like they were a little plain but I really love them. So much so I didn't want to give them all away LOL.

I made five of each variation and these are perfect for quick Thank You Cards or Just because cards or even Invitations. The strip at the end is the remains from scallop punching. I used the corner rounder first then scallop punched. When it comes to bulk cards Ribbon can be quite expensive but strips of waste is for nothing.

2. Image - SU! Oval All

Here's my Card for this weeks Sketch over at CPS. I used the sketch for my Mothers Day Card. It took me longer to take a half decent photo than it did to make the card. Unmounted Rubber Stamps

I wonder if there is anyone out there that could help me please. I recently bought some Cushioning mount for my Rubber Stamps (I won't mention names), I then went ahead and mounted some of my Sugar Nellie stamps onto this cushioning. The only problem is, is that the cushion is a lot thinner than the one I normally use. I just don't like the way my stamps are stamping and want to remove the cushioning and mount them onto the other one. Does anyone know how to get the cushioning off the stamps? When I try to pull it off it breaks and I really want to do it without damaging my stamps. Any suggestions? Please :o)

Easter Blog Candy

As you can see Jennifer has some fab Candy to give away. Go on over and see what you need to do to be in with a chance of winning it.

I'm a Design Team Member!!

I have been chosen to be part of the Cupcake Craft Challenges Blog Design Team! I received the email from Lauren earlier today and have been watching for the announcement all night. Finally I can tell everyone. I'm really looking forward to some great challenges. We start on April the 6th (My Mom's Birthday) so please join us for loads of fun and exciting challenges. Do you want to know who else made the team? Go take a look.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

It's a sketch this week and the minute I saw I knew exactly what to do. The only problem was finding the time to do it. Which is why it's so late, it's been another hectic week!

I made a matching basket, this is the same basket we did in Julies Workshop but I made mine a bit bigger and added paper instead of stamping. In the Basket is the most delicious Easter Egg and some Mini Eggs!

These are South African Easter Eggs, they have a hard candy coating over a hollow chocolate egg. You're supposed to suck off the candy till you get to the milk chocolate inside and then devour what's left.

Supplies Used:
1. Papers - SU! Washington Apple Designer Papers (MC)
2. Card - SU! Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron Card
2. Image - Penny Black 12 Day's of Christmas (Yes, that's right)
3. Medium - SU! Stampin' Markers
4. Ribbon - Pumpkin Pie 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, SU! Linen Thread
5. Brads - SU! Rich Regals
6. Tools - SU! Round Scallop Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Nestabilities Large Circle and Scallop
7. Button and Flowers - From Stash

The big Four O

It was my OH's birthday last week, and a big one at that. Now I know I'm not alone here when it comes to making mens cards, but I find them really hard. And obviously I'm not very good at funny cards either, but there you are. This is the card I gave him, he did laugh though.

Both lines of the sentiment are actually at the bottom of the stamp but I masked parts of the stamp when I inked it up

Supplies Used:
1. Papers - SU! Bashful Blue Designer Papers
2. Card - SU! Brocade Blue Card
3. Image - SU! Golden Oldies (Mini Catalogue)
4. Ribbon - SU! Bashfull Blue Striped Grosgrain (MC)
5. Other - Chipboard from stash
6. Medium - SU Stampin' Write Markers

Cupcake Craft Challenge - Brown + 1

This weeks challenge is to use any one of these three colour combos.
1) Brown + Pink
2) Brown + Blue
3) Brown + Green

Well lets guess which one I choose! I just love Brown and Blue... and Pink... and Yellow... in fact I think I like most colour combo's using Brown. Funny because I was never a "Brown" person. I just love this SU! Simply Scrappin' Set, it's so versatile.

Supplies Used:
1. Papers - Everything is from SU! Love Stories Simply Scrappin' Set
2. Tools - SU! Scallop Circle and 1-3/8" Circle Punch

A Passion for Papertrey Challenge 2

For somebody that didn't have any PTI products I'm doing very well. Here's my card for the second challenge set by the lovely Kate and Steph "So here's what you do - make a single layer card using your Papertrey goodies. Embellishments (including ribbon and punched or die cut shapes) are allowed." Sadly my only PTI product on this card is the Ribbon, but what fab Ribbon it is!

This must be the easiest and quickest card I have ever made. It was literally stamp, stamp, wrap, tie, stick, stick, stick, and that's it. There is absolutely no excuse for not having a Thank You card on hand if they can be made this quick.

Supplies Used:
1. Papers - None
2. Image - SU! Fast Flowers Wheel
3. Sentiment - SU! Oval All Stamp Set (Mini Catologue)
4. Ribbon - PTI Melon Berry Swiss Dot Satin Ribbon

CPS #107

Another great sketch from CPS this week. I've been abit out of the loop this last week and haven't done much crafting or blogging due to all sorts of reasons. The only way to get back into the swing of things is to jump right in, however I've got NSS at the moment (New Stash Syndrome) so I thought I'd try out my the SU! Papers and stamps on this Sketch.

I decoupaged the flower, which really suits these stamps. I'm hoping to do quite a few more cards using these stamps before the end of the month. Please come back and have a look. I'll also be announcing a special Mini Catalogue Offer involving these Papers, Stamps and some Ribbons.

Julie's Jems Team Challenge

As a team we've decided to do a fortnightly challenge between us. Each of us gets a chance to send out identical kits, what's in that kit is up to us. Nobody knows when it's their turn, the person sending the kit decides who the next person is and we only find out when we receive it. Everybody makes something and we all have to post our creations at the same time, so there's no being influenced by anybody else. It was Steph's turn first, and what wonderful goodies we received, thanks so much Steph everything is gorgeous. I think it's going to be interesting to see what we come up with, how many are similiar and how many aren't. If your curious go and have a look at what Steph, Sarah-Jane, Julie, Anne, Sarah, and Siobahn have created. Mine is a Plain Jane compared to what the girls have done.

I managed to get the flowers exactly as I wanted them and they looked perfect, then I moved them to add glue and stick them down, but soemhow they don't look as good as they did.

The obvious place for the sentiment is the front of the card so I thought I'd put mine on the inside. Lets see how many great minds there are!
