Arty Girlzs Challenge #5

I really enjoyed this challenge although the card is my second attempt. I started one and halfway through I decided it just wasn't working! I'm much happier with this one.
'
This week's challenge is 'stitches'...feel free to interpret our theme's any way you choose.....you could do real stitching, faux stitching, use the word 'stitches', sew a button on your project...it's entirely up to you ;)
'

I used Pink Petticoat Papers from Little Fleurs and Rainbow Doodle. I also used the Stamp 'n' Stitch Butterfly Stamp from Elusive Images.

Arty Girlzs Challenge #4

This week's Arty Girlzs Challenge is "Glueless". In other words the Girlzs would like us to use another medium other than our usual pva's, glue sticks and double sided tape.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one and I'm really pleased with the result. Again I've gone for something very Plain and Simple. I cut 4 slits into my Base Card and slipped a corner of the backing paper into each one. I then cut out two Patterned Tags, Stamped a Single Daisy 3 times using the masking technique, attached both with Brads and edged the card with Chocolate Brown Ink.

For the Backing Paper I used one from Manuela Zimmermann's The Circle of Life Kit from Daisy Company. I overlayed it with the doodle (from the same kit) on both corners and then shrunk it down to size before printing. The Daisy Stamp is from The Stampman's Double Delights Unmounted Stamps

Arty Girlz Challenge #3

This week's Arty Girls Challenge is "Tags", they have to be used on our Project. This is what I have come up.
'

I used an Artylicious Butterfly Bliss paper for the Background and a co-ordinating Tag for the "Happy Birthday", the font is AJR Handwriting 1(from Daisy Company) anf the Tags were Punched out of Pink Card and decorated with Glittered and Foiled Magic Motif Butterflies.

Arty Girlz Challenge #2

Arty Girlz is a new Challenge Blog that started last week, and this week's Challenge is Flowers.
'
My initial plan for this was to do some stamping. It seems like ages since I last did any, but I couldn't decide which Stamp to use. Finally decided on a stamp and had to come up with some background papers. I've been looking for an excuse to use my Artylicious Fantasy Floral CD by Glenda Waterworth, but somehow my stamp didn't quite go with the papers I had chosen. So I started all over again and didn't do stamping after all but did stick to Artylicious.

I printed 2 Background Papers, 1 Green and 1 Purple, cut them down to size keeping the whole flower image as the center piece. Then printed another Background Paper onto Card Stock, this time Lilac. Cut out 2 whole flowers each size and a center each, then decoupaged onto the Green Center Piece, I used Sakura Glaze Pens for the Leaf outline and center of the flowers. I also used some Silver peel-offs to finish off and added a Sentiment and Glittered the words "With Love".
